1: Roll out puff pastry to 1/8” thickness and cut into squares approximately 4” x 4”. 2: Spray a muffin pan generously with oil spray and place one square of puff pastry into each hole. 3: Use a fork to poke holes in the bottom to prevent pastry from puffing up too much. 4: Bake at 375°F for 10 minutes (they will be par-baked at this point). 5: While puff pastry cups are baking, cook ground beef in a pan breaking apart with a potato masher. 6: Add all the spices to the ground beef and cook for 5-6 minutes until cooked through. Set aside. 7: In another pan, sauté chopped deli with oil until edges are slightly caramelized. 8: To assemble, place a heaping tablespoon of meat mixture into each puff pastry cup, then top with a heaping tablespoon of deli mixture. 9: Bake at 375°F for an additional 10 minutes. 10: For the mushroom sauce, sauté onion and mushrooms in oil until edges are caramelized and no liquid remains. 11: Season with onion soup mix and salt, and deglaze with water or broth. 12: Cook the sauce for a few minutes to thicken, and serve alongside puff pastry cups.
