A warm and hearty split pea soup made with diced onions, carrots, potatoes, and flavored with spices like turmeric. This comforting dish is perfect for cold weather and can be made in an instant pot or regular pot.

1: Heat your instant pot (or regular pot). Add oil and onion. Saute until translucent. 2: Add carrot and saute until brown bits start to form. 3: Add potatoes, frozen cilantro and garlic. Saute until cubes thaw and become fragrant. 4: Add broth, water and spices. 5: For instant pot: pressure cook for 40 minutes. For regular pot: simmer covered for 1-1.5 hour. 6: Once cooked, blend with immersion blender until desired consistency is reached.
