Instructions
1: Preheat your oven at 300F. 2: Dry your beef shank very well. Rub kosher salt and pepper on all sides. 3: Slice your onions. Mince your garlic. Set to the side. 4: In a large pan, heat your oil on high heat. Once hot, sear your meat on all sides. Set the meat to rest in an oven-safe baking dish. 5: Lower the heat to medium-high. Add onions and sauté until brown. Add garlic. 6: Add wine and let the onion soak it up for a few seconds. Add soy sauce, honey, cilantro, parsley, paprika, and bay leaf to combine. 7: Pour sauce on the meat and add about 1/4 cup of water. 8: Cover the meat, place in the oven for 4 hours. Baste it every hour. 9: To slice, wait until the meat cools down or it will not cut nicely. This recipe is freezer friendly if well wrapped.View original recipe
