tbsp oil

Instructions
1: Start by tenderizing your meat using the flat side of a meat mallet. Dry the meat using paper towels. Sprinkle with salt and pepper on both sides. 2: Heat a heavy bottom pan over high heat. Add oil. Sear steaks on both sides for about a minute per side. Work in batches. Set aside. 3: In the same pot, add onion. Caramelize over medium low heat until dark. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Add tomato paste and sauté to release flavor. 4: Add balsamic and wine then deglaze the pan using a wooden spoon. Toss in chestnuts and honey and sauté for a little. Add in water. 5: Return minute steaks to the pan. Baste with sauce then cover and simmer on a low heat for about 3 hours, or until fork tender.View original recipe
