A delightful twist on minute steaks, incorporating leftover apricot jam and paired with a blend of flavors including honey, spices, and dried fruits for a mouthwatering dish.
In a large skillet, start by frying onion, shallots and garlic in a bit of oil until translucent. Push to the side.
Tenderize your steaks. In the same skillet, quickly sear both sides of the steaks. Remove from pan and let them rest.
Add orange blossom, honey and apricot jam to onion mixture. Mix it in at a low temperature. Add spices and mix them in.
When onion mixture is fully seasoned, add chestnuts and dried fruits to brown. Feel free to exclude one or some of the added dried fruits.
Add the steaks back in along with about 1/3 cup of water. Cover the pot and cook on low for 3 hours, or until fork tender.
