1: Place your brisket in a large deep pot and pour oil on it. Scatter your chestnuts around. Place your heads of garlic on the sides. 2: Season with salt, pepper, pure maple syrup. Add water around the brisket. 3: Cover your pot. Place it on a medium high flame until it reaches a boil. 4: Lower the heat to a simmer and let it cook for 3-3.5 hours, or until fork tender.
