What you need

tsp salt

cup flour

tbsp yeast

tsp vanilla
cup warm water
cup oil

cup margarine
Instructions
1: In the bowl of an electric mixer, proof yeast, sugar, and warm water for a few minutes. 2: Combine all other ingredients besides the flour. Make sure not to put the salt directly on the yeast. Using a dough hook, mix everything at high speed to break up the margarine. 3: Add flour one cup at a time, waiting for it to be fully incorporated before adding the next. Knead your dough for about 5-7 minutes until soft and slightly sticky but not adhering to your hands. 4: Cover and let the dough rest for 40 minutes. 5: Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface. Cut dough into 4, then each part into 10 small pieces. Roll out each piece and form into circles. Set aside and cover to rest. 6: Heat about 2 inches of oil at 350°F in a large pot. Start frying in order of the pieces formed. 7: Fry on both sides until they are dark brown. Transfer to a cooling rack for a few seconds before coating in sugar.View original recipe
